We’ve made the cut for the second year running!

We’ve ended January on a high and found out that we’re shortlisted for a Sentinel Business Award again this year.

We entered the Business in the Community category to celebrate all the hard work and dedication our staff has put into fundraising this year.

That includes:

Hitting our target of raising £50,000 for Dougie Mac by 2020 a year early. All 430 members of staff contribute to fundraising somehow. Each site in the group has its own charity of the year which they support as well as the company’s chosen charity. In 2018 and 2019 combined, we raised £30,000 for good causes.

We also partner with local catering colleges to offer work experience to help young people on to a successful career path. This is something we’re looking to extend.

The Sentinel Business Awards are described as The highlight of the regional business calendar, this competition rewards the very best, the most successful and the most innovative firms from across our patch and acknowledges the cream of local businesspeople and entrepreneurs.

Last year we entered the awards for the Training Excellent category and won. We were over the moon to win against such strong competition and so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for another win this year.

The winners will be announced at a stunning awards ceremony on Thursday 26th March at the King’s Hall in Stoke and we’ll be taking some of the team for a well-deserved night out.

Hopefully, we’ll make it on to the stage again!
